A great little desk
It's a very sturdy and stylish desk. It's size is excellent for small spaces. I would have liked to see another color selection -- perhaps something in a warmer cherry tone or a lighter maple-like tone.
Like the first reviewer, I also found it a bit tedious to assemble because of the difficult access for 8 of the bolts. If you have a ratchet style allen wrench, that would help a lot.
Also, the front door is not labled as to which side is the top and it is not obvious from the photo. I initially installed it with the wrong side up and it is painful to correct the mistake. Be sure to use the side with the small holes as the top side.

Must be patient
Now that it's assembled I like it a lot. That said, this experienced DIY-er had quite a time putting it together starting with piece #1 which was missing 2 of the 4 nylon inserts that you screw into. Fortunately it was last to go on desk and I was able to glue the dowels that hold it in place -- permanently. There are also bolts that are tightened down with a wrench. Access is very difficult making it a tedious process. Try inserting a phillips head driver into bolts and screw in, then do final tightening with wrench. Be careful not to strip bolt head. Finally the finish after two days is still gassing off. I recommend keeping window open till that dissipates. It's a very pronounced odor. Other than these minor conditions, the desk is gorgeous and a welcome addition to our home.
