kaleidoscopic optic. Drawing inspiration from scientific illustrations, Brooklyn-based artist Brian Farrell abstracts micro-life, kaleidoscoping through unknown flower beds of the universe. Though his work appears symmetrical and orderly, a closer look reveals Farrell's exploration of "the true chaos of the world all too often cloaked in false uniformity." Using four different screens, he imprints each layer of the image in water-based inks on paper to create a high contrast design with strong quality of line. The result is a graphic emblem that is at once urban and organic with elements of pop and street art.
