Simple Silverware
Let me start by saying we don't even have a dishwasher, so that is not an issue for us - however I have noticed spots on this set are much more noticable then our old flatware, so I do hand dry them right away.
This set is perfect for us - a nice clean look with good weight without being big oversized flatware. I like the length, as well - I never noticed how short my spoons used to be until I stirred a drink with these!
Like most CB2 items - what you see is what you get. great value and a style you're not going to get at the big box stores. :)

disappointed
let me start by saying how much we love how these look and feel. this is hard for us to understand how it's possible but they are rusting.... we are sadly returning them...

Rusting
We received this as one of our bridal registry gifts, and I wish we would have read online first that it is supposed to be hand dried after the rinse cycle. In the store thinking it was made of stainless steel we did not think there would be such discoloration. I'm disappointed in this.

Terrible!!!
This flatware looks great! However , I have had it for about two weeks and it starting to rust!!! Yes, rust!! I am going to have to replace. I bought several sets . Horrible!!

Great flatware
We have been looking for modern, good-looking flatware since we got married in Sept 09. We finally found the perfect set. We bought 12 sets and love them with our white dishware!

Sharp, Clean lines, great price
We replaced some very old flatwear [from my parents] which was quite dated and worn with these pieces. Matt handles are subtle, the mirror finish is shiny. Great look, compliments our "mature Gaycouple lifestyle" better. Has a great "hand" to it. Great pricepoint, even when not on sale. We wash in dishwasher and while only have done it a few times, no problems. GO FOR IT

Great purchase
I am very happy with this flatware set. I have been using it for over a year and it still looks great. This set is very sleek and versatile. I find that it is simple enough to use everyday but also contemporary and edgy enough to use on special occasions.

Modern Flatware
I was looking for some affordable new flatware and fell in love with this set. The weight feels great in your hand and the simple, clean lines make them easy to look at! I had read the reviews of rusting, but noticed that it was suggested to hand wash and not use the dishwasher. I followed these tips and have been successful in keeping them looking great with the beautiful matte finish!

Rust
Pretty set, but the 18/0 composition led to rust almost immediately. Returned.

Rust after one use
I loved the look of this flatware set, but at least half of the utencils came out of the dishwasher with significant rust spots after just one use. Such a disappointment. Makes me question the quality of all CB2 products...

stylish and perfect price
I had been looking for this style everywhere - not only shape but matte+shiny finish. The price was perfect and I am about to purchase a second set. I had read in some of the reviews about rust spots but decided to take the chance...I occasionally see one or two small ones - but then they go away. I also have an older dishwasher - I am not sure if that has anything to do w/ it...

Still in good shape
I've had this set for over a year and am still happy with it. I haven't had problems with rust, except for the parts of the couple of utensils that have been accidentally chewed up by the garbage disposal. Non-chewed up parts are otherwise fine, but they do definitely look like we've had them for a while, even though we almost never use a dishwasher. I like the matte finish. Overall, they have a clean and simple look for not too much money, and if they don't last forever I won't be devastated.

Love this set!
What a wonderful experience at my last dinner party. Everyone commented on my new flatware. It was the biggest hit of the party. The sleek and modern design and ease to hold was what everyone commented on. This flatware says that you are an eclectic individual with better taste and yet casual and fun at the same time. I love it!!!

One year later and I still love them
I receieved three sets of the pattern 451 for Christmas. I use them every day and still love them very much. There has not been any rusting issues.

very satisfied
I have been looking for clean, sleek flatware with considerable weight to it. I was worried at first because the instructions said to hand dry or else they would rust. I decided to go ahead and put them in the diswasher and to my surprise, they came out beautiful! I love the look and am buying more for my daughter as a housewarming present.

beautiful, but rusted
i was so excited to receive this gorgeous flatware! however, after one wash in the dishwasher, there were rust spots. now, after using it for a couple weeks, there are heavy streaks of rust all the way down several of the knives. not sure if it's a defect in a couple pieces, or if the entire set will rust eventually? i'll be sending this back, sadly.
