Great Lamp!
This lamp was a lot better than I expected. Looks great and is a great buy for the price. Good quality. Liked it so much I purchased three.

Touch feature stops working
I have 5 of these.....the touch feature on 2 of them stopped working today. I thought the bulb died when they both flashed when I turned them on....and when I replaced the bulbs they would not turn off....I have to unplug them to turn them off. One is only 6 months old and the other is a year old. What was so great about them was the touch feature....real bummer.....be warned!

Paramount lamp
This is a beautiful, touch operated, green lamp which came with a fluorescent bulb that helps save on the electric bill as well as the planet !!!

Awesome, giant lamp at a low price
The rule of thumb with lamps, accessories and art that I like seems to be that if it's affordable, it's at last 20% too small...not so with this lamp. It's huge, looks great (nice shade fabric and I like the smoked chrome look of the base), and the touch lamp functionality is nice. I have mine set on the headboard of a CB2 Alpine bed so I don't have to work very hard to turn the light on when I'm only half awake.

Ab fab lamp!
My one year old daughter discovered this lamp while we were shopping and loved turning it off and on by just touching the base. I love the sleek look and the price is amazing! It works well to bring height to our bedside table as our bed is quite a bit taller. This also would provide a soft reading light too.

beautiful table lamp
I love this lamp. The easy touch-on/off base is convenient and fun. The lamp is elegant and cast the perfect dim light for great home atmosphere. It's not really bright enough for a reading light, but the long white shade diffuses light perfectly and looks expensive paired with the simple chrome base. I've owned it for over a year now and it's still working perfectly.

great value, great look
The lamp works and looks great, I consider it a great value, but do wish that it was capable of casting a stronger light. As one of multiple sources in a room, it is a great addition. It has a great architectural quality to it and the shade's texture gives it a look that belies its price.

safe, clean, easy, impressive
i love my new lamp. i'm considering buying a second one, but don't know where to put it. it was larger than i'd expected, but has good weight-not at all flimsy or easily knocked over. one of our cats jumps on the table and rocks the shade crooked-surprisingly there is no way for the bulb to touch the shade so no fire hazard worries! it is the perfect amount of sensitive to the touch so you don't have to press hard or anything. it stays very clean despite all the fingers touching it also. it looks modern but fits all decor. i paid for the standard shipping and it came very quickly, packaged well. i love it and you will too!

Love these lamps!
We've only had these lamps for about 2-3 weeks, but are very happy with them. Love the touch on/off feature, and the look of the lamp. The only thing that surprised me was the size of the base - it is bigger/heavier than I realized from looking at the product picture. But, if you're tight on space, as we are, the cylinder shades help make up for that, by not taking up extra room. Definitely recommend.

Call me crazy
I bought this lamp to solve the problem of having to walk down a dark hallway to get to a lightswitch. Plus, it makes a great modern statment in our entry! Alas, after several years of daily use, the touch feature has "died". I expected better from CB2, but love the lamp enough that I'm buying another. Call me crazy.

LOVE this lamp
I was hesitant to order lamps online, but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the size of these in person. For some reason, I expected them to be a little smaller after seeing them in the pictures.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because after I turned on both lamps, I noticed the color of the shade on one lamp appears to be brighter than the other. The lightbulbs are exactly the same wattage, so I think it must be the lamp shades.

Solved My Problem
The light switch near the door to our bedroom did not connect to the lamp by the door, so I was always fumbling in the dark to turn it on. This lamp solved the problem beautifully -- just touch the base and it goes on, with a soft light that is not too bright, not too dim -- just right!

beautiful, but stop working
I LOVED these lights in person, perfect for bedside lamps. Until they stopped working. I bought two, and the first one stopped working about two months after purchase, and the other just stopped working now, about a year after purchase. The touch feature stops functioning, and the only way you can turn them on and off is to unplug and replug them in. To get them to functional I will have to splice a switch onto their cord.
I did love the touch feature because it made it so easy to turn off when I was falling asleep, but sadly those days were short lived.

love it!
We purchased two of these for our master bedroom and love them. They are very sleek and functional as you can just roll over and turn on/off with a simple tap. We get tons of complements on them as a bonus!

Great Lamp!
I bought this lamp to use as a desk lamp and to thereby replace a lamp I never cared for very much -- knowing full well that the lamp is large. (It's more table lamp than desk lamp, so check the dimensions before you buy!) Because I have a big desk, the paramount table lamp was just what I was looking for and it works great in this context. The shiny nickel finish on the base is great and I love the touch controls. I highly recommend this product!

poor quality
I purchased a Paramount lamp in 2009 and loved it, so I decided to order another one in 2010. Not only the second one is not a three-way lamp like the first one, but it quit working after six months of very little use. Very disappointed.

I love this lamp so much. It looks beautiful when off or on. When on, the lamp gives off a nice glow without a harsh focus, so it is very flattering in a bedroom. And it is so nice to turn off when going to bed-- just a light tap and it's off or back on.
